About They Might Be Giants

They Might Be Giants, often abbreviated as TMBG, is an American alternative rock band formed in 1982 by vocalist and guitarist John Flansburgh and vocalist and multi-instrumentalist John Linnell. In the band's early years, Flansburgh and Linnell frequently performed as a musical duo, often accompanied by a tape machine or a drum machine. In 1992, They Might Be Giants expanded to include a backing band. The band's current backing artists are Danny Weinkauf, Dan Miller, and Marty Beller, and their horn section consists of Dan Levine, Stan Harrison, and Mark Pender.
